Filmmaker Sauci escapes being burnt Alive in Car accident caused by Police

Sauci could have been a dead man had he not trusted his instincts to jump out through the window after his car caught fire.

Narrating how the unfortunate happened, Sauci said an unidentified group of Lagos policemen tried stopping him, probably for routine checks. In the process of parking, a bike man crashed into his car which caught fire within seconds.

According to him, the policemen upon seeing him trapped in his car took to their heels instead of helping him and his client out from the burning car.

”I’m lucky to be alive after Police Officers caused my car to get burnt and the death of a bikeman in Lagos. I was on my way to a location with a client in my car. I got to IIaje junction, Ajah, and was trying to cross the express when the police officers in a white bus, tried to stop me and in the process, an oncoming bikeman rammed into my car and it caught fire.

The policemen fled on seeing what had happened leaving their bus behind. I had to jump out of the passenger seat. It only took the grace of God for me and my client to escape unhurt. The fire servicemen came much later and quenched the fire.

My car with my phone and laptop including the bike were burnt beyond recognition. The bike men’s leg was squashed and he died immediately. Now I have lost my car and so many projects, I was working on.

I ran to Ajiwe Police station, Ajah to report and they said it wasn’t their men that chased me. Please Lagos state government and the Nigerian police force should weed out the bad eggs and end police harassment”
